Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s lineup, dates, and tickets! There are two weekends of music; which weekend you choose depends on which artists you want to see perform.

What time does the Austin City Limits Music Festival start?

The Austin City Limits Music Festival starts on Friday, October 7 and ends on Sunday, October 16. The festival is spread over two consecutive weekends, with three-day passes allowing entry into either weekend. Be sure to get there early!

How much are Austin City Limits Music Festival tickets?

A 3-day pass for all three weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival usually costs around $299. A weekend pass (Friday and Saturday) is generally priced at $169, while a Friday-only ticket is usually sold for $99. In addition, a limited number of single-day tickets are available each year; prices vary depending on which day you choose. Generally speaking, Sunday single-day tickets are the cheapest, while Saturday tickets tend to be more expensive. Children under 10 years old get in free with an adult weekend ticket holder or any one-day ticket holder over 18 years old.

What’s going on at ACL 2022 this year?

Whether you’re a seasoned ACL vet or just hearing about it for the first time, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved in Austin City Limits and live life on your terms. It includes information about camping at Zilker Park, watching from home, attending a day party, taking advantage of unique opportunities only available during ACL weekend and other related events happening around town all weekend long.

Where do I buy my ACL Fest tickets?

If you’re an Austin resident, ticket sales are limited per person, and they go on sale in January. If you want your ACL Festival Tickets 2022 early, it’s a good idea to buy them online from Tickets4festivals —especially if there are many artists you want to see. It’s best not to wait until closer to ACL weekend because there will be less inventory for some of the high-demand concerts by then.

What’s happening during ACL weekend 1?

The first weekend of ACL is always jam-packed with amazing performances, but you won’t want to miss out on any of it. The show starts on Thursday night, and if you’re up for it (and have your tickets), you can camp out in Zilker Park starting at 2 pm. On Friday, there are plenty of options for pre-parties that give you a taste of what’s going down at Austin City Limits over the weekend. For example, on Friday alone, 35 shows are happening within a short distance from ACL grounds! On Saturday, day two is generally held as a homage to Texan Willie Nelson; expect lots of his classic hits during that time slot.

When will the 2022 lineup be announced?

The lineup for each year’s festival is announced in late April. Previous headliners include Beyoncé, Radiohead, Drake, and The Killers. So if you want to be among some of the biggest names in music at one of Austin’s most popular events, it may be a good idea to set a reminder on your calendar for next year, so you don’t miss out on one of ACL Festival’s biggest announcements.

How can I see who is playing at the festival?

The lineup is usually announced in March or April, and tickets go on sale around mid-Jan. In previous years, fans could buy a 4-pack of general admission passes or a weekend pass (the price generally increases each year). General admission passes grant access to both days of performances. In contrast, weekend passes grant entry to all festival programming for both days. Tickets for single day concerts typically went on sale later, around mid-Jan. The dates for all three weekends are different from year to year but rarely overlap and are often spread out throughout October.

Who are some must-see acts at the 2022 festivals?

There are hundreds of acts on dozens of stages at the ACL Festival. Thankfully, there’s an app for that! Download it and start exploring. (It’s available in both Android and Apple versions.) Please make sure you select ACL FESTIVAL 2022 as your location when using it, or you won’t see everything we have planned for 2022.

Who played last year at ACL Fest 2021?

The lineup of each year’s festival includes a mix of big and up-and-coming acts. Last year, pop superstar Taylor Swift headlined on Saturday, October 6, and rapper Kendrick Lamar closed out Sunday, October 7 as part of his DAMN. Tour, which was promoting his Grammy Award-winning Album to Pimp a Butterfly. Other notable performers included The Avett Brothers performing on Friday, October 5; Run The Jewels scheduled for Sunday; Jason Isbell on Saturday; and comedian John Mulaney closing out weekend one with his special stand-up act.

That’s everything you need to know about Austin City Limits. The full lineup is expected to be released in spring, so keep an eye out! And remember: don’t forget your ACL festival tickets! We’ll see you in Zilker Park for a weekend of live music, good food, and lots of fun!
