She spent most of her childhood days in East Bay Area and attended El Cerrito High School where she played varsity softball. Emily’s parents were of Italian descent and had a huge influence on her upbringing. Her father was a football coach who instilled discipline and hard work ethics in her at an early age.
After graduating from high school in 1997, Emily went on to attend the University of Washington where she studied law and political science. During this time, she also became involved in various extracurricular activities such as cheerleading for the Seahawks and interned with the United States District Court for Eastern District of Washington.
Currently, Emily lives in Seattle with her husband Jon Skoog whom she married on September 14, 2017. The couple met while they both worked at a tech company called ‘Yahoo!
